Publication Ethics
The Journal of Public Administration, Public Affairs, and Management (JPAPM) upholds the publication ethics necessary to preserve its distinguished research quality. Henceforth, the JPAPM declares the following responsibilities for authors, reviewers, and journal editors.
Authors
Authors should:
- Ensure that their research article submission is their own work
- Provide appropriate citations and quotations (with permission if necessary) when using other sources
- Disclose all funding sources and any potential conflicts of interest to the Journal Editor
- Ensure the accurate crediting and ranking of all authors, and attain their consent for publishing the final version of the submission
- Refrain from using confidential information without the explicit written consent of the parties involved
- Refrain from submitting previously published articles and/or double submissions (submitting to multiple journals at the same time)
- Refrain from plagiarism and data fabrication/falsification
- Ensure the accuracy of their citations
Any instances of plagiarism or double submission will result in the termination of the submission.
Reviewers
Reviewers should:
- Conduct reviews impartially and objectively, without personal bias
- Ensure confidentiality within the review process (with the identities of authors and reviewers concealed in the double-blinded peer review process)
- Directly inform the Journal Editor of any potential conflicts of interest, declining the request for review if deemed as appropriate by the Journal Editor
- Refrain from using unpublished research articles for their own benefit
Journal Editors
Journal Editors should:
- Uphold the ethical policies of the Journal, consistently promoting fair and honest editorial decisions
- Ensure confidentiality within the review process (with the identities of authors and reviewers concealed in the double-blinded peer review process)
- Maintain the ethical standards of the Journal and identify any competing interests
